Spring into action!

With the clocks going forward this weekend it’s the perfect time to make the most of brighter evenings and the better weather. As we feel the benefit of brighter days it’s time for refreshing our living spaces, getting outdoors and eating lighter seasonal dishes.

There’s many local farmers markets and traditional marketplaces that stock brilliant local produce, that are a great weekend activity to stock up on healthy food while sipping a coffee. Fruit and vegetables we will be looking for in March and April are cauliflower, beetroot and spinach.

Our delicious Mangalore Pie has a delicately spiced sauce and cauliflower and spinach as two main ingredients. It makes a fantastic centre plate dish served with roasted vegetables or new potatoes.

So as well as some great food on the menu, it’s a great time to get outside and get some fresh air. There are plenty of fun activities to do in spring! Here are some ideas:

  1. Go for a picnic in a park
  2. Take a walk and enjoy the beautiful spring scenery
  3. Visit a botanical garden
  4. Go for a bike ride
  5. Have a spring cleaning and donate unwanted items

We also recommend getting out to a food festival after recently visit the ‘work’ version at IFE London, here’s some other foodie ideas that you can do at a more leisurely pace on a weekend in 2023.
